Today recognition of the miraculous power of hope.
Surviving Adverse Childhood Experiences is an accomplishment. It requires a belief that, despite all evidence to the contrary, you are worthy; that somewhere beyond the abuse, you may experience joy and safe, healthy relationships. Survival requires perseverance through the paralyzing shame onward toward the faintest glimmer of hope.
I experienced hope as light that accompanied me during the bleakest times, when the shame of childhood sexual abuse engulfed me. A steady, enduring sense of light flickered, hovered near enough to encourage me forward. That light shone a path to healing. I feel that light inside me and I share it with you. I hope it lights your path.

- What does hope want you to know about what’s possible for you?
