Joy

For those musical nerds out there, my people, we begin today with a lyric by Alan Jay Lerner from Camelot.

Tra-la! It’s May! The lusty month of May!

This photo of Finn captures the joy of possibility. Wind on the face on a drive with the family. The pack being together! Maybe there will be a walk on an open beach! Who knows, but he is ready and open to the possibility!

I remind myself that I can make small choices toward joy today. To see the blue sky for the miracle it is. To feel the wind on my face and listen to the birds sing in the trees. To savor a cup of hot coffee. To ackowledge that there were days when I never imagined such peace possible.

What will you invite into your day that brings joy? How will you honor your amazing strength as a survivor?
